What is Big Blind in Poker?
In Texas Holdem, players are forced to put a certain amount of money in the wagering pot before the actual betting round begins. The game usually consists of two binds: small binds and big binds but there can also be zero blinds and three blinds. Once the cards have been dealt, the player sitting next to the dealer on the left has to place a small bind, immediately the player sitting next to him has to place a big bind.
