Aluminum Coating Process

Aluminum coating or aluminizing is a thermochemical process that places the part in a furnace to form an oxide layer on its surface. The deposition of aluminum coating acts as a protective barrier against chemicals and other harmful elements.

We use the hot dipping procedure for aluminum coating. In this process, aluminum is dipped in a hot bath where the aluminum atoms start adhering to the surface of the metal. Next, the part is dipped into an aluminum and silicone solution at temperatures ranging from 700° C to 750°C. The silicone stretches the aluminum layer evenly across the surface. The part is then dried and ready to be packed and shipped.
